SOFT TOYS FOR BABIES AND FOR THE ENVIRONNEMENT

moineaumoineau was born at the end of 2019 with the idea to create stuffed toys different from what I could find in stores around me, that meant original, minimal and well-though to honor the fertile imagination of babies and children. 

I also had environnemental concerns in mind and wanted to make stuffed toys with the smallest environnemental impact as possible. I then started to create stuffed toys from repurposed materials

Because of safety concerns, repurposed materials gave way to new organic and natural fabrics, mainly wool and organic.

After a few years of sewing cuddly animals, I had the feeling I had to translate my creations in knitting patterns in order to give each and everyone the possibility to make ones own.

Designing knitting patterns was a kind of revelation regarding my first motivations. It meant the toys thus made would be absolutely personnal and original. It also meant it could be made with the least materials as possible and without waste products. Knitted toys could even be maDe from rest of balls lost in knitters cupboards.
